Hampton by Hilton– London Docklands

Hampton by Hilton London Docklands is a 209 bedroom hotel located within London’s Royal Docks, close to ExCeL London and London City Airport.

Gamma was appointed to deliver the carpentry and joinery package across the development, carrying out works throughout the guestrooms and wider hotel areas as part of the delivery of this large scale hospitality scheme.

A key feature of the project was its method of construction, with the guestrooms formed using an offsite modular system. This required our site teams to work around a different set of interfaces and tolerances to a traditional hotel build, coordinating our carpentry and joinery works closely with the modular construction and the wider site programme.

With 209 bedrooms alongside the communal and back of house areas, the project also required careful planning of labour and sequencing to maintain progress as areas were released.

The completed project is another example of Gamma’s experience within the hospitality sector and our ability to deliver high volume carpentry and joinery packages while adapting our approach to suit different construction methods and demanding hotel programmes.
