Doorsets
Doorsets are one of the most technically demanding and compliance critical elements of any large scale development. What can appear to be a relatively simple product involves the coordination of multiple components, performance requirements and certification, often repeated across hundreds or thousands of doors.
We understand the complexities involved in delivering doorset packages at scale. Fire performance, security, acoustics, accessibility, ironmongery and access control all need to work together while meeting the architectural intent, project programme and relevant certification requirements.
Working closely with our trusted doorset manufacturing partners, we combine specialist manufacturing expertise with Gamma’s design, commercial and installation experience to provide our clients with a fully coordinated doorset package from initial design through to final handover.
Successful doorset delivery starts long before the doors arrive on site.
Our team works closely with our manufacturing partners, architects and clients to review door schedules, specifications, elevations, performance requirements and ironmongery, developing each doorset around the specific requirements of the project.
By involving our manufacturing partners throughout the technical development process, we can ensure proposed solutions are supported by the appropriate test evidence and certification while identifying potential issues before they reach manufacture or site.
This collaborative approach also allows us to explore alternative products and value engineering opportunities where appropriate, without compromising the required performance or design intent.
Manufacturing & Procurement
We have developed strong relationships with trusted doorset manufacturers, allowing us to source solutions based on the specific performance, design, programme and commercial requirements of each project.
Rather than being restricted to a single manufacturing system, we can work with the most appropriate manufacturing partner and doorset construction for the application.
Once designs are approved, our procurement and project teams coordinate the manufacturing process alongside ironmongery and associated components, carefully managing approvals, lead times and phased deliveries around the construction programme.
Installation & Compliance
The performance of a doorset relies not only on how it is manufactured, but how every component is installed on site.
Gamma is a BM TRADA certified fire door installer, with trained installation teams working in accordance with the relevant certification, manufacturer requirements and project specification.
Our digital QA process records doorsets throughout installation, providing photographic evidence and a clear record of inspections and completed works.
By maintaining close communication between the manufacturer, our technical team and our installers, we can ensure the requirements established during design and manufacture are carried through into the finished installation.
Why Gamma
Our approach brings together the expertise of established doorset manufacturers with Gamma’s knowledge of design coordination, construction and large scale installation.
We understand that the door leaf, frame, ironmongery, access control, surrounding construction and installation cannot be considered in isolation. Each element contributes to the performance and compliance of the complete doorset.
Our role is to manage those interfaces.
From selecting the right manufacturing partner and developing the technical solution through to procurement, installation, QA and final handover, Gamma provides our clients with a single specialist contractor responsible for coordinating the complete doorset package.
It is this combination of trusted manufacturing partnerships, technical knowledge, installation expertise and a strong approach to compliance that allows us to successfully deliver complex doorset packages at scale.
