Hampton By Hilton – Handy Cross

Gamma was appointed to deliver both the carpentry and joinery package and the design, manufacture and installation of the front of house specialist joinery for this £21 million hotel development.

The project was the first fully brand compliant prototype of its kind in the UK, making the design and delivery of the front of house areas particularly important. Our team worked closely with the client, appointed designers and Hilton throughout the design development to ensure the finished spaces met the required brand standards while also being practical to manufacture and install.

Alongside the second fix carpentry works throughout the hotel, Gamma delivered an extensive specialist joinery package across the main guest areas. This included reception joinery, feature wall panelling, bespoke bar and restaurant elements and a range of architectural joinery throughout the front of house spaces.

Having responsibility for both packages worked particularly well, allowing our teams to coordinate the general carpentry and specialist joinery works together and manage the interfaces between them. It also gave the client one contractor responsible for a significant part of the internal joinery delivery.

With this being a new prototype for the UK market, there was a high level of design development throughout the project. Our design and manufacturing teams worked through the details with the wider project team before taking the bespoke elements into production and ultimately through to installation.
