Tribe – Old Kent Road

This project comprised a 267-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development constructed over 12 storeys on Old Kent Road, London, providing modern student accommodation together with associated communal and amenity spaces.

Gamma Construction Services (GCS) was appointed to deliver the supply and installation of the internal doorset and ironmongery package throughout the development. Our scope included the installation of internal doorsets, frames, associated ironmongery, and all relevant door hardware across the student bedrooms, communal areas, circulation spaces and ancillary facilities.

A key element of the package was the integration of Salto electronic access control systems throughout the development. This required close coordination between our installation teams, the access control specialists, and other trades to ensure the electronic locking hardware was correctly integrated with the doorsets and ironmongery while maintaining the required functionality, security and finish.

The works were delivered in accordance with the project specifications and programme, with careful attention to door alignment, hardware installation, access control functionality and overall quality. Our experienced teams worked closely with the main contractor and wider project team to coordinate installation across the 12-storey development.

The successful delivery of this package demonstrates GCS’s capability to manage complex doorset and ironmongery installations incorporating modern electronic access control technology, providing a complete and coordinated solution for large-scale PBSA developments.
