FOLK Florence Dock

Located in Battersea, London, Folk Florence Dock is a 270 home development and one of the standout schemes within London’s growing co living sector.

Gamma was appointed to deliver a £2.2 million package covering the design, manufacture and installation of the studio joinery, together with the wider carpentry and joinery works throughout the development.

Having responsibility for both packages worked particularly well on a project of this scale. It allowed our teams to coordinate the works as one package, manage interfaces between the different elements and plan labour, deliveries and installation around the wider construction programme. For the client, it also meant fewer interfaces to manage and one specialist contractor taking responsibility for a significant proportion of the internal joinery works.

With 270 studios to deliver, getting the design and manufacturing strategy right from the outset was key. Our team worked closely with the client and design team to develop a solution that could be manufactured efficiently at scale while maintaining the required quality and finish across every studio.

Production, deliveries and installation were then carefully planned around the construction sequence, allowing our teams to maintain progress as floors and areas became available.
