Locate Student Accommodation

This student accommodation development comprises 137 studio apartments, alongside 3 twin apartments and 8 accessible apartments, with a range of communal facilities including a gym, cinema and games room, study spaces, landscaped courtyard and resident amenity areas.

The accommodation was developed above a new Tesco Express shell, creating a mixed use scheme combining both residential and commercial elements within the same development.

Gamma was appointed to deliver the carpentry and joinery package throughout the student accommodation, alongside an extensive fit out package to the Tesco Express shell at ground floor level.

Our carpentry works covered the bedrooms, corridors, communal spaces and wider residential areas, with our site teams coordinating closely with the principal contractor and surrounding trades throughout the programme.

Having responsibility for works across both the residential and commercial elements brought a different level of coordination to the package. Our team had to manage the requirements of the student accommodation alongside the separate programme and specification of the retail space, while keeping both elements progressing in line with the wider development.
