Unite Hayloft Point – City of London

Located in the heart of the City of London, this £190 million development provides 920 student bedrooms across 24 storeys, together with extensive communal and amenity spaces.

Gamma was appointed to deliver the labour only second fix carpentry package throughout the development. Our scope included the installation of certified fire doors, skirting and window boards across the student bedrooms, corridors, communal areas and wider building.

With 920 bedrooms spread across a 24 storey building, managing labour and maintaining progress alongside the wider construction programme was a key part of our delivery. Our site team worked closely with the principal contractor and surrounding trades, coordinating the works floor by floor as areas became available.

The fire door installation formed a significant part of our package and required careful attention throughout, with doors installed in line with the relevant certification, manufacturer requirements and project specification.

The scale of the scheme made this a significant project for Gamma and is a good example of our ability to resource and manage large carpentry packages across complex high rise developments while maintaining quality and programme through to completion.
