Unite Olympic Way – Wembley

Located on Wembley Way, directly adjacent to Wembley Stadium, this 19 storey development provides 699 student bedrooms together with two retail units at ground floor level.

Gamma was appointed to deliver the labour only second fix carpentry, joinery and FF&E installation package across the development. Our works included the installation of internal doors, architraves and skirting throughout the bedrooms and communal areas, alongside the installation of the bedroom and communal furniture packages.

The scale of the development meant careful planning of labour and sequencing was essential. With 699 bedrooms spread across 19 floors, our site team worked closely with the principal contractor to coordinate the works floor by floor, maintaining progress as areas were released and working around the other trades operating across the building.

Alongside the carpentry works, our teams installed the bedroom furniture, including wardrobes, desks, shelving and associated fittings, as well as furniture and joinery within the communal spaces.

The project is a good example of Gamma’s ability to manage large installation packages and the labour resources needed to deliver high volume student accommodation schemes. Completing nearly 700 bedrooms within a demanding construction programme required strong site management, careful coordination and a consistent standard of installation from the first floors through to completion.
